Typical answer.
Longshot , Jazz found your post and suggestion intuitive, interesting with a hit of forward looking.
Welcome to our Forum .
Indeed. Who knows how the list of names and "working" e-mails will be used.
Will those who sign, in their believe they are supporting only the idea of not having any restrictions to dance anywhere they wish, be considered as someone dissatisfied with their situation and ready to defect....?
Will WDC provide the list to WDC affiliates based of geographical distribution ( providing the geographical locations are provided ), or locations anyways, because the majority of the sign on names will probably also appear in some World's dancers registry, with full address, even phone numbers ?
Will the WDC affiliates be sending invitations to those who sign on, will the names be possibly send the IDSF Organisations to say, look these people do not agree with your restrictions ?
Onyourtoes answer is quite typical. You longshot analysed the facts, processed the possible outcomes and came to a logical summary and Jazz agrees with your comments.
Jazz likes longshot .
Jazz would like to piggy-bag and add: a petition with such an unpredictable outcome is like a drowning person reaching out, ready to grab onto anything, and if there is nothing to grab, the conclusion of the coroner will be: there was nothing to grab, all those passing by, able to help were intimidated, did not know how to swim, did not see the drowning person, thought someone else would help, had o reaching device to offer, were afraid of water, were scared to be punished for walking onto a riverbank, since there was a sign "no trespassing" .
Onyourtoes has already seen into the future and gave you the answer: if the petition does not work, if the numbers, which are now available for us to see are too low, possibly embarrassingly low considering the thousands, and thousands dancers around the world,
it will be concluded: "people are too terrified to sign their names for fear of reprisals from the IDSF, which is a show of terrorism and how far the terrorism and intimidation extended. "
Onyoutoes knows it, Jazz knows it, here is your answer.
The petition cannot fail. If WDC gets their names, and their mailing list they succeeded, and if people do not sign on, it is because they are terrorised and intimidated by IDSF, so it is in a way a Win Win scenario.
Longshot thought it was a long-shot ?
No, this is a no-brain-er.
Jazz only hopes that WDC affiliates will not be too disappointed and will not put all eggs into their basket when they offer the list of "Freedom to Dance" supporters to willing- to- put- on- a -new -WDC- sanctioned -event-Organizer, who will make a big mailing in th hope, that the most people on such a mailing list will line up- as if for a cabbage-patch-kid in the eighties.(example taken from another post ) .
Keep on posting, you'll find it addictive.
