Dear Quicktime2,
I think there is a slight and worrying difference:
IDSF did not say it was against open competitions, it said they claim complete control over all competitions.
Totally in line with her original claim of being the sole governing body.
Funny in this is, that by banning competitions, they recognise that there are competitions outside of their claim! And not the worst, I'd say.
And that in an age where there are now at least  other worldwide organisations!
At the moment of their claim, they also still recognised the WDC and there was no IPDSC.
The other claim, being responsible, is becoming more and more of a farce.
How can you be responsible when you throw everybody out?
How can you be responsible when you damage well-respected comps?
And so on, and so on.....

There was an agreement between the WDC and the IDSF. The IDSF unilaterally withdrew from it.

How can their be a settlement of this problem if one side refuses to discuss the situation. You must be aware of the offers to discuss the situation that have been made. There has been no response from the IDSF: not even to say 'We won't talk to you.'

You are pathetic!

If you have an american server even if you are a Canadian it would come up as American. Also, for example Anthony Hurley is listed under Australia yet he is English. But lives in Australia so it comes in as Australian. there would be many more like this. This is a pathetic attempt to discredit  an Individual Mr. Millette which you have been guilty of doing before. Leave you personal attacks out of this forum.

But it does look like you got your wish. {all though it far from genuine} There are many many Canadians listed now. Quite infested with Canadian names infact!

You minime just unfortunately reflect the sad and shameful nature that occures in Canadian Dancesport in CADA and CDF. Shame on you!!

Freedom is such a good word. Everybody would in principle think that freedom would be the right thing. But WDC does not stand for freedom, not in the sence of my personal definition of freedom.

I have earlier explained that IDSF and WDC are like tweens, and I will again repeat - they are.

I wish that IDSF and WDC somehow could get som kind of agreement of how to divide the dancingworld between them. Forget about historical actions on both sides.

I am in favour of IDSF in amateur and WDC in professional. I can not see with my best will, that the present situation is in the interest of the dancers. I really cant.

I think that Grand Slam and championships within IDSF is the ultimative goal for a lot of dancers, and I do think this is very attractive. Attractive for the dancers attractive for the public.

On the other hand WDC professionals have my deepest respect - simply because they are the best dancers. Great to watch.

So please - stop this silly war - forget history - put aside all the anger and disrespect on both sides.

I know it is difficult, impossible? - but you must try.

Israel and Palastina must also try.

Please use your intellegence in the right way.

Find solutions - not new weapons.

I have earlier suggested, that competitions should be both with IDSF and WDC at the same competition. I repeat this suggestion again. The ordiance at German Open can see this happend. Also at Blackpool.

Put your minds and intellegens together and develop more like this. Both can benefit of this.

I am not here to miscredit either IDSF or WDC, I hope everyone can see this.

Go on thinking - how can you both gain something instead of loosing.

What is your definition of freedom, please?
You wish IDSF and WDC made an agreement?
They had until IDSF unilaterally decided it was ripe for the wastebasket (the Joint Agreement).
You would like to see IDSF taking care of all amateurs and WDC of all professionals?
They did before IDSF decided unilaterally that there were no amateurs or professionals, only athletes. And that was only their domain, nobody elses. Not considering WDC a possible partner anymore.
You want us all to forget history?
Look at the history and you can see exactly what you want!
IDSF stated that that is history, not of this time and age; WDC being a dinosaur!
Your example of the German Open is well chosen.
Very much against the wishes of IDSF, DTV made a contract with WDC.

If your own words do not discredit IDSF, than whose words do?
As long as IDSF will follow this course, your wishes are just wishes and will remain so. The fact that they did and do not answer the request for a meeting, coming from the WDC, should wake you up. They do not share your wishes!
But still, you are free to choose in this matter.
