Today I opened and read within 15 minutes my weekly copy of "Dance News". The cost of a subscription for 50 issues in British Pounds
in UK 70,  In Europe 88:00  Rest of World 107.00
 
This really got me thinking just how much time I spend at dancesportinfo.  I come here for :

news,

results,

photographs,

videos,

to search for couples or competitions,

to compare results  of couples,

to check ratings,

to check top couples around the world

and to participate in the forums.

At times of major events at which I am not present I can get almost instantaneous round by round results.

All this and more. 
 
Think about it just for a moment please
do you also use the website?
have you ever thought about the huge sums of money it takes to bring us dancesportinfo?
have you ever thought of the enormous amount of time,effort and research that it takes to produce all the info. Not just to produce the info but to check for accuracy.

Does any other web site come close to giving all this.
 
If you have then surely you would want to make a small contribution to help  keep dancesportinfo in its endeavours and determination to continually bring us even more benefits. 

 Please consider taking a membership currently Silver at British Pounds
37.50 or Gold at 75,00.  Less than 11p (16cents) per day. 

Can there be better value in DanceSport?  I THINK NOT

May I ask you then why do you come to dancesportinfo? 

Probably because it has the best and most comprehensive results service plus a whole lot more features  than ANY other dancesport website. It is a fact  that other websites lift results and news from here but never give credit.

That you contribute to the forums is also evident that you do not only look at results but check other items also. I know you contibuted to the thread about the Cervia Italian Open but you tell me which other website also had those results. Not one and if they do now they came from here.

Read here http://www.dancesportinfo.net/Membership_details.aspx for a comparison of what additional benefits are available.  O.K. perhaps like  me the majority are not especially beneficial. It is true that you get features for free but to me that was unimportant.  I appreciate the great service we get . I realise that enormous time and effort and monies are involved so that you and I can enjoy the benefits. I am pretty sure that the dancesportinfo team could earn far greater income if they abandoned DanceSport. 

Where we differ is,  I think the small cost is worth the great website which gives me so much. You take the attitude "I want it for free".

It comes down in the end to ones personal beliefs. I consider dancesportinfo far better value than other dance publications so that is where I chose to put a relatively small amount of money and will not renew my Dance News subscription. 

To answer your question I think it would be extremely beneficial for the  website providers if you did decide to pay for what you now "get free" plus additional benefits.

All I asked was people think about it and decide . If you thought about it you clearly reached a different view to me. O.K. that is your right .  I still say for the very small sum involved there is NO BETTER VALUE IN DANCESPORT and I ask that people think about all they get..

newguy I have just checked the accuracy of the following statement.

At the German Open at dancesportinfo.net we have the full results of the events concluded to date.  If you visit the Spaeker web site you will see the names of the finalists BUT not the placings.  In particular Grand Slam IDSF Latin and Standard and  WDCWorld Series Pro Standard and Latin. 

 This is true of every round . At this moment you can see who danced in each round but not their final position.

Last Blackpool yes there was another website also producing round by round results. Theirs were posted some 30 to 45 minutes after dancesportinfo.

These facts all count in my book .
