I find it very interesting even intriguing to read on the IPDSC web site info regarding their 2009 events.  This included the IPDSC European Cup Latin . http://www.ipdsc.org/2009.html
 
The actual website of the event in Thessaloniki Greece 7/8 November clearly shows IPDSC involvment. http://www.dancesportclassic.com/
 

Now on the IDSF  web site we read  

 

This event is an unregistered event by the IDSF and IDSF athletes, officials and Adjudicators are not allowed to participate in this competition. 

 

 



 

It seems there has been a very brief honeymoon period with regard to  that "Historic Agreement" http://www.idsf.net/index.tpl?style=pressreleases&action=press_releases&action2=87

.  Since it was a "shot gun marriage" from the start  I guess there should not be too much surprise.

Mr Shaugnessy went 1st July,  Mr Maxwell went 24th August but no further announcements/appointments.
Then as you point out an IPDSC event is banned by IDSF.  What is going on?
 
Are those Professionals who were so unwise as to follow the IPDSC to be left with egg all over their faces?
 
 
Whilst with Alice in Wonderland.  there is another brilliant quote

How very true and how very unfortunate that many didn't  think but spoke before deserting ship. Good thing the WDC lifeboat is on hand and fully manned all they need do is reach out.

Spectator100 at least we now have the answer to part of the conundrum - there is no divorce just a wholesale swallowing up of the unwise and unsuspecting. http://www.idsf.net/index.tpl?style=news&action=newsItem&id=119

 

Greece still remains a mystery.................................or is there a simpler explanation? I  must copy and paste more in future.  The event has now disappeared from the events which are forbidden!!  Someone must read this website what a pity they do not take more notice of the really important things.

sambatogo has thought that this IPDSC and IDSF cooperation was suspect and unstable.

It  has always been a case of how long does the IDSF need a professional organization in it grip when it can own one and control one instead.
