Until they have been published in Dance News you will not find them on any website or elsewhere. Unless you receive DanceNews I would suggest you keep coming back here to dancespolrtinfo as without a doubt immediately they are available they will be here. The first result are normally published about 2 weeks after the event.

In every other sence dance is developing very fast, and speed is actually a hudge part of the modern world. Look at Spaeker.de - the give the result very fast - even the marks. Look at Dancesportinfo.net - they are trying hard to give results as fast as possible. The WDC is trying their best to give the results. I do not think, that Dance-news will be sold or unread just because they give results on internet. Dance-news is far much more than pure placings. So let me recommend, that every major competition make placings public within 24 - 48 hours after the competition. (and marks would be a plessure) Nobody goes to watch any other kind of competition and then wait for the result. Soccer, tennis, atletics, swimming. Good old fashion England - you are behind.

In addition, with electronic devices held in adjudicators hand, there is no reason for dancers who completed Semifinals to wait 2-3 hours for the official announcement of the finalists, AND our finalist should not wait all sweaty, tired and uncomfortable, sometimes for hours to find their placements. This is where IDSF comps, like it or not, have an edge. One more comment: The organizer's responsibility to dancers should not end up when counting the cash, the organizers should be encouraged to report results which can actually be used and posted by such institution such as our dancesportinfo.net.

Delaying the results may be an inconvenience but certainly not of great importance if the money goes to charity as sambatogo expects. Eventually soon the results are available. Recalls by and large are not results anyway, as they are not direct markings. Placements are only in a final. Sambatogo.

For example, when you hear recall list for the next round, marks for those who did not qualify should be published. However as for publishing recall list just after the round has finished, I am not so sure. Of course it is technically possible and of course it would decrease the tension. But ... tension is one of the interesting things during the competition. It's part of the show. Keeps people on the edge and creates an unique atmosphere. If you are just a spectator - go to the dancers and watch them during the announcement, listen to the cheers when certain couples are recalled. If it was just a list displayed on the screen for the last 2-3 hours, we would lose all of that. Electronic devices are in my opinion a way to go, but, to my surprise, some organisers do not use them, even if technically possible for a very interesting reason. Appears that some judges later during the day claim that they have marked differenty that they did. In case of a paper signed by a judge, it is easy to prove, but if you have an electronic device, some judges complain that it was a "computer mistake" and some organisers do not want to have those problems. As for the results of the International (and UK Open), scrutineering program used there has an interface with our site and technically we could publish results as soon as they are calculated and announced. This is an organiser decision not to do that.

Maybe the organiser should consider, that all over the world there are people involved with each couple, and they do not have the possibily to be at every competition. It could be trainers, familys, friends and other competitors etc. who wants to know, how it goes at the competition. I was following the International on long distance, and thanks to Dancesportinfo I was up all evening (and some of the night) to follow the competition in Royal Albert Hall, which I for working reassons could not watch this year. Of course each couple could sms to trainers, but not to the hole world. If Dance-news wanted to be the first with the results they could easily be so a few minuts after the result was announced, and then dancesportinfo just had to follow manually. But of course if they gave the interface it would be very fine as well. Lets hope that the organisers world wide would read this and take it as a positive development. Best dancing wishes to all.

The Pro Latin marks will be 5th November Amateur Ballroom 12th November. Amateur Latin 19th November. Other events will then be published in stages over the following weeks
